In Their Own Words

“It's not very often you get to see a high-res, 'film noir'-esque close-up of your own body's most sacred space. And as a sensualist and artist, it feels only right to creatively capture something that so effortlessly brings such a wealth of sensation, emotion, and euphoria.
(It's something that no intricate arrangement of carefully-positioned mirrors can replicate, believe me.)
Being part of the V project marked the milestone of a year rich with learning, growth, and self-acceptance. It recognizes the societally-entrenched beliefs I've broken out of, and freeing myself from the shroud of shame I've felt around anything even remotely erotic since as long ago as I can remember.
Had you asked me 18 months ago to literally 'bare all' for a project like this, I would have been embarrassed to even be trapped in such a conversation. Now? It's an honour. An opportunity to inspire other women to also free themselves from societal expectations and be true to their body. An opportunity to embrace the self-love I have for the body that gives me so much pleasure - in every sense of the word.”
“Being in the personal care industry, I see vulvas in all shapes and sizes, textures, contours, hair or hairless. All so incredibly unique. We have the most powerful portal between our legs that’s a physical embodiment of womanhood and manifestation. If eyes are the window to the soul our V is the portal to the universe. So grab a mirror and do some exploration. Self love and acceptance is empowering and we are all so unique in our own way. There shouldn’t be shame in something so beautiful and it’s all yours.”
“I'm thankful for the opportunity to promote the diversity and beauty in something that is still taboo to show/talk about, and I hope other vulvas get their chance in the spotlight.
I got to indulge in the novelty of the experience, and gained empowerment of overcoming the mental boundaries of traditional modesty. This gave me a new found confidence in my anatomy and a new found autonomy as a woman, as I found it liberating and exciting. I was surprised at how unrecognizable it was despite my confidence in my ability to identify my own body parts.”
